PopLife goes Crazy...

Dan "Crazy Loop" Balan, is a Romanian-Moldavian singer, songwriter and producer. Balan played a pivotal role in the eurodance music trio, O-Zone. In 1999, he formed the group and, as front man of the band, writing and producing all of their compositions, he led them to fame across Europe with the hit single Dragostea din Tei (also known as "Numa Numa song"). The song reached number 1 in 32 countries and number 3 in the UK, selling 12 million copies worldwide, and was the best-selling single in Europe and Japan in 2004 and 2005, respectively. This hit song was covered by over 200 artists worldwide in 14 different languages. O-Zone's best-selling LP was "DiscOzone," which climbed to number one in six countries and sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide (1 million in Japan alone). Dragostea din Tei was also covered by T.I. and Rihanna in 2008 for "Live Your Life" which became a huge success in the United States, maintaining number one status for six weeks on Billboard Hot 100.

Next up, Dan introduced his alter ego "Crazy Loop" to the world with the song "Crazy Loop (Mm Ma Ma), which became an instant No.1 in Romania, and stormed the European charts. The stunning Marc Klasfeld (Jay Z, Foo Fighters, Destiny's Child, The Script) directed video has since become a You Tube sensation, clocking up over 13 million hits collectively, along with many home made Crazy Loop imitation videos uploaded the world over.

October 12th 2009 sees the UK release of Crazy Loop (Mm Ma Ma) via PopLife Records. With hot new UK remixes from Almighty and Riffs & Rays, the Crazy Loop phenomenon continues...
