Since signing to PopLife in 2009, Sean and Sarah Smith have been working hard touring the country and meeting fans, but that hasn't stopped them putting an enormous amount of work into writing and recording their second album. Following up a Gold-certified album that has sold over 180,000 copies in the UK alone was never going to be an easy task, but they've done it!
One of the tracks from the album, 'Souled Out', written by Topham/Twigg (Backstreet Boys, Steps, Westlife) has already become a fan favourite and internet hit after being featured on Popjustice.com, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Topham/Twigg have also contributed 'Euphoria' - a track that sees Same Difference heading to the clubs. It showcases a totally different side to the band and will blow your minds!
Sean and Sarah have also worked with the cream of Scandinavia. Anders Hansson, responsible for Agnes' massive worldwide smash 'Release Me', has written and produced a very special track that is so exciting we're keeping it under wraps for the time being! Tony Nilsson (Darin, Velvet, Elin Lanto) is responsible for the power-pop track 'Emotion' and, alongside Hanne Sorvaag (who also wrote songs for SD's first album), 'The Rest Is History' - a massive sing-a-long feelgood anthem. Prolific Swedish writer Thomas G:son has also contributed a track.
Sean and Sarah themselves have written a lot of the album, and it reveals them as a songwriting team to be reckoned with. The first single, 'Shine On Forever (Photo Frame)' is written by them in collaboration with John Myers and is released on 29th August 2010. Look out for the poptastic video which showcases their new look!
Sean and Sarah have also written tracks with Georgie Dennis (S Club, Kate Ryan) - 'Superstar', another club influenced track produced by Ian Curnow and 'Heartbeat', a retro pop track produced by Pete Hammond.
